New to me '06 with plenty of (fixable) problems. One annoyance is that, somewhere, we are not making a circuit for the seat belt sensor.
I've tried unplugging the wire to the seat and close the circuit there to no avail. Traced the wire bundle back to the dash without any apparent noticeable damage.
I've read you can disable the warning, but that has to involve plugging in and out the seatbelt, which the truck doesn't read.
I'm assuming it's the driver. This year/model isn't fancy enough to sense a passenger, right? Plus it would have to be both the weight and belt sensor there.
Ideas? Perhaps I can circumvent/jump the sensor wires closer to where it goes? I do not want to pull the relay or anything and cause ABS complications in case of a crash. We use the seat belts religiously.. just want to stop the ding ding ding at every intersection or slow traffic.
Ideas? I don't mind macgyver-ing anything for sake of appearance or trade in issues, things like that.
I didn't want to pull the bell, since that might alert us for something else.. the seatbelt light, perhaps.
Thanks everyone!
