Fender fitment help

I prefer the look of the later 3rd gen fenders and headlights over my 2005. I'm just wondering if I buy fenders and lights from a 2008 ram 1500 would they be able to bolt on to my truck without fabrications?

I think I read somewhere that the headlight sits differently and would leave a space below it, but any help is greatly appreciated

Correct, the bumper is a bit different. But you may depending on your bumper, just get the top part only. They are about $60 from the dealer. They don't have those dips in them for the older headlight style.
