Your truck ... You go with what you like ... And it’s a matter of payin the cash to have em painted ... For me, I’ve always thought color matched looked more finish ... Puttin a plain matte black flare on a pearl metallic just looks like ya threw em on there cuz ya didn’t have the coin to paint em ... JMO

One thing I don’t quite get is people throwin 2-1/2” wide pocket flares on a truck with stock wheels and tires ... Kinda looks silly to me ... Pockets are for lifted trucks runnin big ass tires with neg offset wheels ... But again, JMO

Well it's the fact right now the 325 70 17s stick out a bit i had to use spacers so they didn't rub. But it was a quick fix so i got .5 inch spacer now but really don't trust non hub spacers. Trust me id prefer not to have to use them. But only way i could get them not to rub. And i don't want to cut the factory lugs so 1.5" seems to be the smallest spacer i could go with

Neighbor did that to his Red Night Edition. IMO he ruined it! Looks so freakin goofy.
I’d definitely go PTM if I was going to do it.

I didn’t paint mine cause they’ll get scratched and messed up. Sooo I guess maybe depends on your use of truck.

Unless you want to order them to color match, I'd say get them plain and if you don't like them, go get them painted. You have a black truck, so your the best candidate to get away with not color matching.

Mine are not color matched and I have a black truck. However, they did match my door handles, bumpers and grill. I have since installed painted to match grill and bumpers. Flares still look fine in my opinion, but I do plan to convert to color matched since I am glossing everything else up.

I put 1.5 inch spacers on mine. Had to cut just the tips of the lugs to ensure the wheel sat flat against the spacer.

I’ve purchased the OEM flares from my local dealer and get a bit of a price break for being a loyal customer. Anyway to the point. My truck is Hydro Blue Pearl. The flares are factory gloss black that I will colour match myself (got the kit to do this). I went with the gloss black because they will then be factory prep’d for paint already. These flares might play to your advantage as they are already black, if in fact they provide the coverage you need.

edit: Here's a link to what I purchased: Paint code DX8 Gloss Pitch Black I believe:
