I will only mention what i recall
Back in 2009 year model, they came out with the first Ram 1500 4th Generation body style
1 year later in 2010, the Heavy Duty models came out with the 4th Generation body style

They did this back as far back as 2002, it may have started years before that

1500s change body styles first, a year later the HD models change a year later

............................................................................

The current Heavy Duty Rams are still Generation 4

The Rams built in Warren Michigan right now are 4th Generation

Just a few years ago, Ram re-opened another assembly plant in Sterling Heights Michigan
The Rams that come out of there are all 5th Generations Rams

At this time, Ram is not building any Heavy Duty 5th Generation Rams
.......................................................................

I believe that the 1500 & HD rams of the same Generation body parts are mostly the same.
The parts that would be different are listed below
Bumper
the piece just above the bumper, some times called the upper valance
The grill i heard was taller on the HD models
The hood would be shaped differently, because of the size of the grille
The Fog Lights may be different, but they are in the front bumper

If your 2020 1500 is the new body style than no. If your 2020 1500 is a classic or old body style than yes.

All HDs are currently 5th gens. They no longer build the HDs in the "classic" or 4th generation body. generation. The 5th gen HDs are built at the Saltillo plant in Mexico.

The 2500 is still a 4th gen cab and bed with an updated front clip and tailgate
