I am 6' 3'' and sit pretty straight, but cannot see the passenger side fender in 2016 Express. Does any one sell a pole like device to attach to the lower part of the fender that sticks up enough to be seen?

I admit that would be somewhat tacky, but I find myself backing and filling a lot to be sure I clear an obstacle.

You are talking about the front, right?

I drag around a utility trailer a lot and have thought about some kind of flag or something that I can attach to the front right of the trailer so I can get a better sense of where it is. Same idea, different position.

I'm a smidge over 6'3", and I was taught to learn where the edges of the truck are (I call it "depth perception") through experience. Play it safe at first for a while, you'll eventually learn where they are at. I'm not perfect yet, still think I'm wider than I am most days.

The only trucks I've ever seen with the poles like you describe are 3500 or larger, or semi-trucks.

I'm 5'8" & work in a shop, I feel your pain but probably have a harder time having to deal with whatever seating position the customer has. The newer ram trucks are pretty hard to guesstimate, pretty much due to the corners sitting lower than the hood. As previously mentioned, get some more seat time, you'll get more comfortable.

Welcome and congrats on your truck.

As mentioned, you will get used to it over time. This doesn't help you with the front corner but does your truck have the oem backup camera displayed in the radio?

If not you can add it to the Ra2 and up (see install thread). It's also possible to upgrade the radio to an 8.4/ra4, and add multiple cameras (ie front) via Lockpick Air V2 or CustomTronix RAx jailbreak (see install thread).

I found these bumper guides, but it looks like you'd have to drill holes in your truck. They do have a clamp on bracket available, but I don't know if they sell a kit with those or if they'll work on your bumper. Either way your going to have to inflict some damage to your bumper. It's your truck so do what you want but I think those would be ugly and I would hate to do something like that on a damn near new truck.

I'm probably going to come off as being an ass but if you have trouble driving a full size truck maybe you need something smaller. I also believe at a certain age everyone should have to take an annual driver test, behind the wheel of the vehicle they intend to drive, to see if they are capable of continuing to drive.

Park it in the driveway and stand broomstick at that corner. Mentally make your reference marks.

Most people think they are a lot closer then they really are to objects.
