So finally after months of research, I've decided that next pay day, I'm going to order a magnaflow y-pipe, flowmaster super 44, have a shop install em and delete my reso's. After reading an talking to a few guys, I don't see the point in replacing the stainless that the truck comes with, with more stainless. What do y'all think? I was debating on the super 44 or the 40, but I'm leaning towards the 44. I don't like magnaflow, I'm a flowmaster guy. If you guys have any suggestions I'm all ears! lol

I've been thinking about getting a Y since I've heard it makes the exhaust a little deeper.
And obviously just looking at pictures the flow is better.

It's a cheap mod and it helps the flow, that's why I'm doing it

I had the super 10 on my last ram, I liked it but I don't want that loud on this ram, so I'm going a step down basically lol

Yea I'm not a big fan of the sound of maggys, they don't have that rumble I want. I had the mufflex 18 and delete, then I went back to stock for now until payday when I can get my muffler and y pipe ordered

How's the sound in person? All I've heard is YouTube vids, I like the sound through the headphones but have always wondered what it'll sound like in person

It's deep and sound mean. Get lots of compliments on it. My friend with true dual magnaflows likes it a lot. Says its LOUD when riding next to me. LOL. It's not bad inside though. No drone really and just enough rumble at highways speeds to let you know you have something.

Off topic, but I'm curious... what's under the cover?

2.5" to 3"

Exhaust shop can always open or close the pipe more to slip over the the exhaust.

Ok, so the past few days I've been listening to maggys without resos and I thought I wanted a 14 inch maggy, BUT after thinking about it, it's still not the sound I want. So Monday I will be going ordering a flowmaster original 40, and dynomax 4" double wall tips. Or should I just go with the 5 inch tips? Hmmm decisions decisions....

I've also decided to leave resos on for now and if I don't like them i can remove em later. Also going to hold off on the y pipe for now.

If anyone has any suggestions, or think I should change something feel free to suggest. I'm open to everything

Sounds like a plan. Go with the 5" tips. I'm changing mine out soon to 5"
