Well, posted a while ago truck is a 2012 quad cab express, had a rattle under hard acceleration, right before and after a shift. took it to my wonderfull NJ dealer were i bought it and of course its normal......they all do that. Well i am in upstate NY, and took it to my sisters dealer. took the sevice manager for a ride and, wow................theres a shock..."wtf is that thats not normal" so after about an hour, they endid up replacing the hangers and the clamps up stream of the cats. FIXED FINALLY FIXED. NORMAL MY A$$. he said the way the clamp was on (crooked) when the engine was under har acceleration and Flexing on the mounts it was just enought to allow the hangar to hit a heat shield and make the rattle. Im so relieved it was nothin major. and y new truck dont have a (normal rattle). so any one with this (wide open shift rattle) id highly advise you to look at all clamps and hardware up stream of the cats. mine was the 4th truck they have done.

Good to know, mine was experiencing the same thing. Seemed like it was coming from under my feet. It was pretty mild and muted, and I think it has gone away. I will double check tomorrow and post my results here.

Sweet! I was just annoyed by that this morning going through the security gate. It sounded like an exhaust rattle! WAHOO!
