Finally gave up Jeep life...

and decided to grab life by the horns!

Sorry for the corny title. I just bought my first Ram, a 2016 1500 CC Sport. Love it, but looking to mod it already as I did with all 7 of my Jeeps.

I'm from Philadelphia, PA and a member of PA Modern Mopars. I go up the mountains a lot, hunt, and fish so the truck will definitely get used.

About the truck. Nothing else to say but that it's red. Luckily it came with black badges and hood stripes. Looking to get new wheels and tires, running boards, possibly a leveling kit since I want a more aggressive tire. So far all I've done is tint the windows at 20% and put a stubby antenna (in shape of a bullet) on it.

Love the color and hood especially. Since you do some off-roading, you already got the right idea, better tires. You could leave the wheels, they look pretty nice. Running boards are always a good upgrade, however, they can get pretty dinged up if you offroad hard.

Thanks everyone! Red wasn't my first choice. I've always had black vehicles but this one caught my eye.

I traded up from a 2015 Grand Cherokee and a 2013 Weangler. Before that I had a 98 Wrangler. 99 Cherokee, 2000 and 2008 Grand Cherokees. My wife drives a Compass but I don't count that as a Jeep. At least it's Mopar?

If you want to level you truck there is a pair of Bilstein 5100's in the For Sale section for a pretty good price. IMHO if you use the Bilstein's you might think about replacing the UCA at the same time.

I highly recomend the bilsteins 5100s for the level , better than stock ride imo .

Just start @ post # 1 on the thread linked below, it contains all you need to know about leveling , tire sizes , wheel offset & back spacing and more .

Welcome! I'm a recent convert as well. I just got rid of my 08 Grand Cherokee Overland and picked up a '13 1500 Express. Prior to that I had an 88 and then a 99 XJ.
