Flashing lights and won't start

So I tried to install the OEM backup camera today. After I finished everything, I hooked up the battery and walked to the driver seat. The dash lights were flickering. I had not yet put the key in the ignition. After putting the key in and trying to start it, all the lights continued to flash and every warning light came on. I would start and run for about 10 seconds and shut off. Someone please help me!!!!!

Can you tell us exactly how you nstalledthe camera?

I went back and double checked all the connections and I had a couple wires in the wrong spots. I fixed them, but it is still flashing all the lights. I did notice that it only does it when the radio is hooked up. When I unhooked the radio it did not do it.

quite the seizure-inducing light show there. i would remove it and return everything to original, and then try again going step by step and double-checking every step. the fact that you had a couple of wires in the wrong spot the first time leads me to believe you still got **** wired wrong. Plus, you are going to need to program the BCM to let it know that you do indeed have the camera, so it will work- it's not likely to work, regardless, without reprogramming it, even if you do end up getting it installed correctly.
