Watch these mufflers, the valve that opens and closes had issues before, I don't know maybe they fixed it? The Dynomax welded is a better choice and straight through design.

Yeah, I know they had issues before but think they've resolved it. They say they have lifetime warranty so worst case they'd have to send a new one if it breaks.

For those running Dynomax with no drone do you mind sharing the part number? I want a muffler that flows more but I do not want to spend the money on a muffler and labor to be disappointed and have to redo it.

Well I converted my exhaust to duals using 2, 2.5" Dynomax Bullets. I really only get drone when the MDS kicks in. My buddy has the same dual setup I do but using flowmasters and mine seems to be the quieter of the two. His truck does the same when the MDS kicks in.

You can also look into SOLO PERFORMANCE catback/muffler for our trucks. They guarantee no drone on all their exhaust systems they offer. Might want to check them out.

I know what you mean, went back three times to get it right. Happy now though. The part # is 17963, it's a single 3" in and two 2.5" out.

WHen you say its exactly as loud inside the cab....you mean it sounds the same inside the cab as it did with the factory????

Yep. Unless you have the windows open, it is as loud as stock. I'm still surprised I can't tell the difference. It's night/day from outside the truck with just a nice low grumble, and absolutely sings at higher RPMs.

Btw. The resonator helps tremendously. Drone is pretty much gone now.
