i will be installing a new front bumper and foglights around august, as well as hid lights. id like to make the fogs hid as well so they all match, but i run into a problem.

my truck did not come with foglights, and if there is no wiring harness to add them im stuck. not to mention i have no foglight switch inside the cab.

anyone have any ideas on how to properly tackle this? i would rather keep it as simple as possible, so if i can somehow wire up the fogs to come on/off with the headlights that would be great. if not ill add a switch.

the hid kit im looking at will have an option to add hid for your fogs, so im not sure what i have to work with wire wise until i get them.

I believe you can purchase the headlight switch with the fog light button, then wire it up as you want. Might be able to purchase the plug and wire adapter, have you tried your local dodge dealer?

Def check your delarship. you can for sure get the push button switch like what i have that mounts right next to the radio. im pretty sure you can get the harnesses too for a very simple installation. the only downside is it may cost a little bit more going through the delar but be sure to check LMC or rockauto too.

If not you can always run some and wire them up yourself with a switch mounted wherever you would like it and just have them run off the battery.

The factory foglight kit would be a good place to start. You may need a flash to make sure they work as well. Just be advised that when the high beams come on, the fogs will go off with the factory programming.
You can also try getting the cans only, then wire in a HID kit independent of the stock harness if there is no harness there. This will require a separate switch mounted in the cab for operation.
