Folding Seats

My brother just bought a 2010 2500 quad cab, and he is having issues with the seats not folding up. They will go about 1/3 of the way, then they just stop.

Please help. I am trying to diagnose from 1000 miles away.

Quad, Crew, Mega cab? My crew cab only has that problem when there's something stowed in the small space underneath the seat keeping the bottom of the seat from rotating fully...hopefully the issue isn't that simple [emoji854]

He says there's nothint there, but I really don't know. I hope it is that simple, but I wanted to check to see if there were any tricks to it.

Have him check the the ends of the seats at the hinges. I've read somewhere about something being stuck in there preventing the seat from coming up.
