Well, I took the plunge and bought a Ram. Found a sweet deal on a 2012 Ram Laramie Long Horn fully loaded.

Truck has 140K miles on it but I plan to use it to tow my boat. I am already planning on upgrading the brakes to the Powerstop towing package. Will also need to replace the power steering pump and some of the hub bearings.

Anything else I should replace? Was thinking about plugs and coils and possibly adding an CAI.

Welcome to our forum! I would look into getting some Redline 5W30 into that crankcase next oil change and changing the gear oil out in the rear/front differentials and a transmission filter and fluid change also with some high quality synthetics such as Redline. I always do all the maintenance stuff first on a new to me high mileage vehicle first before any other upgrades.

I also bought a 2011 Laramie with 90k on it and all the options including towing package .... I am a Amsoil man so I changed all the fluids with the Amsoil equivalent and put on a CAI and cleaned the TB while installing the Catch Can too.
Had the dealership that sold me the truck replace the rack and pinion at no charge as it was leaking and made sure the outer tie rods were also replaced. Next was all the interior lights to LEDs and the mirror puddle and turn signal lights replaced (the latter were not working at all).
Next on the list will be Bilsteins all around and the worn out sway bar end links. 5100's going on with max lift for leveling. Then a thermostat change to a 190 degree and a Diablo Sport tuner. Will also be doing the plugs at the next oil change.
I have seen a increase in mpg and throttle response over the 2000 miles I have put on so far and we have been camping with our 20' ultra lite travel trailer 3 times now. I was getting a reported 14.1 mpg when I bought it 2 months ago, now it says 16.7 average .... I will do a fillup test next month when I have a 6 hour non towing trip to take.

Learning a lot here although I have had 2 Chargers and 2 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the Hemi and each one was a little different than the next.
