I'm looking at getting new tires and can't believe the price difference from the 20" to 17's. The guys running 17" wheels what if any issues did you run into, did the calipers clear ect. I was looking at a 17x9 or 17x8 with 0 or +1 offset. Thanks guys!

Someone can correct me, but I believe the Outdoorsman comes with 17” wheels ... Shouldn’t be a problem

Check your spare.

My truck came with 20’s stock, but the factory spare has a 17” rim.

You will be fine, outdoorsman and tradesman come with 17” rims and as stated above some people with 20” have a 17” spare. The factory specs on RAMs 17” is 17x7 with 25.4 MM offset.
The REBELS come with 17” also that are 17x8 and 18.05 mm offset. If you’re looking to get a tire and bigger than 265/70 I would go with a set of 17x8 rims due to most tire manufactures over 265/70 recommend a 8” or wider rim.

Some Express models come with 17"s as well. Mine has them and I personally love the ride and look of the 17s. Old school like you say. I'm still on my factory Goodyears at 21K miles, where everyone I know with 20s on late model Rams burned through them by 20K miles.

I would suggest you go with 17x9 in case you ever want to go 35x12.50's, as the minimum recommeded
wheel width for that is always 8.5 or better, and you can still *** narrower if you want....

Another thing I just thought of is hub centric. Most of the specs are like 108mm I though the ram was 77.8mm

I ditched the 20"wheels literally next day after getting the truck and went with aftermarket 17x9 -12 offset. I do offroad my truck, so i like having more tire/sidewall going down to 14-15psi on the trails, I had a 17" donut spare, which is also sitting in my garage, and now have a full matching spare, in 17" but with a 315/70/17 tire, and 5 tires to rotate instead of 4, they should last me a long time.
The Rebel comes with 17's, you should have no issues running that size, if you need factory like size, you could run 285/70/17's

I swapped the 20" sport wheels for 17" rebel wheels right after I bought it. Running 285/75's which is almost a 34.

I swapped my OEM 20" wheels for 17" Rebel wheels after I leveled the truck.
I mounted Falken A/T3W, 285/70's which are 33", same as the OEM 20"s.
