Hi guys!
I am new to this forum.
I have 2003 Dodge Ram ST 1500 2WD, 3.7 V6. It's my daily driver. Very basic truck(even has cassette player). I like things that are simple and reliable.
Can someone let me know, please, if anyone has done conversion from power steering to manual steering?
I like to simplify my truck and gain a bit of MPG. I already sold my A/C system(we don't need it here). Truck seems to like it. I also enjoy more room under hood.
I don't want to spend a fortune on stuff from Flaming River.
Can I get a manual rack and pinion from a Dakota?
Maybe older D150, GM or Ford truck?
I want 100% manual steering, not disabled pump.
Should I just measure my rack and head to a yard to find a suitable one?
Thanks in advance!
