So my plates came in and I noticed there aren't any holes for it in the front bumper. I can use self tapping screws but are there any other option like double sided tape or something?

I have the front black bracket already installed from the factory.

It does have 2 holes for the plate in the bracket, but it's obvious the screws have to go into the bumper, like self tapping screws. I was trying to avoid doing that but if it's my only option then so be it.

Do you need one, love the clean look with no plate.

Unfortunately it's required around here, otherwise I'd never put one in the front. Sucks the dealer preinstalled the front bracket into the bumper anyway.

Yea it's the law here in CA, but they can bite me. What about in the windshield and plug the dealership holes from the black mount?

Some police officers will not accept windshield placement. They say it needs to be MOUNTED... trust me... I have went through this for the past 25 years...

Now I just wait for the ticket... then going to buy those magnets and use fake screws in the holes and slap it to the bumper... also if you do this... make sure you use some felt carpet behind the plate, so that you don't scratch the paint.

Since I have the factory black plastic mounting bracket I was thinking of double sided tape but not sure how well that would hold up, I will probably just say screw it and screw the damn thing in.

I double side taped my plate to my bumper to get through inspection. I had to use a heat gun to remove.

I was going to use the sto-n-sho plate holder, but I like this magnet idea.

If the bracket is already screwed into the bumper, then just screw the plate into that bracket and call it a day... never get pulled over for that reason again.

That's what I did, once the holes are drilled into the bumper your destiny has been set.
