Front plastic bumper

I was just wondering if the black plastic bumper thing on the front of the truck right below the grill is removable and if so what is under it? is it just a cover or something??

i believe so yes. there are several thing you have to pinch and pop out. i know on my 05 thats how you remove it. no screws or anything.

alright.. i was looking around and under it and i did see some clips but i also did see some screws on the outer ends.. do u happen to know if underneath the black thing is just the normal painted bumper or what?

of your bumper is painted i would think so. i have a chrome bumper and its chrome underneath. so im not all that sure. should be able to lift it up a little and see. its not hard to take off either. just gotta get around all the metal lol.

Are you referring to the black step pad on top of the bumper right below the grill? If so, it's painted underneath that if you have a painted upper bumper cap.

Im pretty sure there are holes under the pad though where it attaches. Are you going to be reusing it?

like on my truck the whole thing under the grill is black and plastic and i was wondering if under it was painted

Take a pic of what you are talking about. If its the step pad then there should be holes under it I believe. Or are you talking about the whole top of the bumper?

No it is not painted under it, you have the st bumper cover, there really isn't anything under it.
