Frozen DEF

I'm up north and always bothered by frozen DEF. We can get a block heater for the engine. Why isn't there a 120V heater for the DEF available and why isn't the tank insulated?. Is there a Forum for frozen solutions? aka - Nanuk of the North

Why isn't there a 120V heater for the DEF available

There is heaters in the tank and on the lines already that will thaw the DEF for use.

As said above their are heaters in the tank and lines. They system knowes enough not to call for def until things thaw out enough that it will be able to draw some def.

Alaska here, they tell me if you know your froze up ... To let it run for 10-15 mins before heavy driving to make sure it has time to thaw.
