Fuel Gauge

My fuel gauge is not marking. I thought it might be the fuel pump, so I replaced it new, and it turned on. But this morning it did the same thing again. IT turns, but because it's not registering fuel it won't turn on. Not sure where to go from here. My brothers doing the work.

You mean it won't start? check the fuel psi at the fuel rail it should be 49psi. Check or swap out the fuel pump relay in the pdb and check all the fuses. Just because the gauge is not working does not mean the truck will not start, unless there is no gas in the tank. Got spark?

Not real sure what you mean by "fuel gauge not marking". Can you clarify?
