16 ram with 86000km and the sensor started going wonky on me.

Ram wants $230 for sensor and 3hr labour another $300.

So question is, are there aftermarket sensor available and where's the best place to buy? Rock auto has no listing so....

Contact Benny. For just the fuel level sensor approx $120 or the entire pump (level sensor included) approx $310. Dropping the tank is the labor part. Depending on mileage, they recommend to replace the entire pump so you do not need to drop the tank later $$$.

There is several threads regarding this costly failure. Very frustrating, mine failed also and I only use top tier premium gasoline. Good luck!

I did a quick search and found 1 thread. Seems to be a known issue I have realized. Just trying to find a cost effective replacement. Might tackle it myself but need the part first

With that many miles you can get the entire fuel pump assembly for $70. Easy swap in 2 hours dropping the tank.

Here is the one I bought, flows more and has a more robust sender. Purchasing another mopar unit will fail again in short order.

85000 kms is alot? My 08 had 150000 on it and a wheel bearing is the only thing that was replaced. This is premature in my opinion

I was referring to replacing the pump sock especially if using garbage 87 octane with ethanol that is the main cause of the sender failure.
