2012 Ram 1500, 6-spd, Express, 4WD. 99,400 miles, original owner.

I am planning on installing shorty headers to solve (hopefully) the back manifold bold from breaking and ticking, its annoying. Also will install Corsa sport cat-back.

Question is... what to do about that middle section of Y-pipe and cat? Is there a better wye? The factory one looks like poo.

There is a better way, just depends if you know a good exhaust shop or not.
Or even better if you are handy with a welder do it yourself. But im picky about my exhaust welds and had it professionally done!
Had them connect the stainless 2.5 x pipe and single chamber totalflows to the stock duals in the rear and its amazing!!!
have some big tips waiting for funds and time to install and remove the stock rear resonators :favorites13:

Him we can help with your exhaust needs. For a y pipe for shorties I would recommend the Magnaflow. Flows much better than stock and still has cats so its legal

Another option since you are looking to replace everything is go with Long tubes for even more power gains. Message me if you would like more info or a quote on anything

@hemihustlin bro, that looks amazing

On topic, 1st & foremost what's your budget & goals? Shortys are cheaper upfront & pretty sure easier install. LTs cost more in parts & labor, but pair very nice with supporting mods. Plus any aftermarket muffler will sound meaner & more aggressive with LTs (if that's your thing).

Goals? To stop replacing manifold bolts/gaskets. To have a nice sounding exhaust tone, not loud.
Budget? No budget, just want the exhaust leak to be gone.

If you want increased low end torque, LT's are the only choice. If don't care about adding torque, ST's are less costly.

I think y'all did. I'll post pics when I do the work. I'm probably a couple months away from purchasing any parts still.
