Had my 2024 RAM limited for a year now. It's pretty much been perfect. Only routine maintenance. However, I have a clicking noise when I put the truck in AWD. No noise in 4WD. I've only used AWD when in heavy rain but I know this is not a sound I've ever had with any other AWD system. I've read that this system in the RAM is not the most robust so I don't plan to use it except when conditions call for it. But anything out of the norm warrants attention in my opinion to insure there's not something serious going on. Anyone else had this noise and is it something the dealer could fix?

we had to drive almost 300+ miles in ice and snow...i used AWD that whole time. I found it better handling than using 4x4.

to answer your question....no ticking noise..at least none that i heard

I have a 2020 5.7 non E-torque. When I place my transfer case into the AWD mode, there is a bit of a drag noted vs. 2WD, but I do not appreciate any noise that I can hear. I do have some hearing loss, so that must be accounted for in my statements.

I would take your truck to the dealer and ask them to go for a ride to hear the noise along with you, and make sure of the time and date of the problem(s) in the vehicle history, for future reference.
