I thought I was set on a 6" lift and 37s but now I'm thinking I might just do 4" lift and 35s.. Maybe...Idk I'm still debating.. Either way.. I'm pretty sure my truck has the 3.92 gears in it.. Can those push the 37s with no issues...

Oh yeah the 3.92's won't have any issues with 37's

What yr/make/model is it? I have an 04 1500 4dr 4x4 hemi and im regearing to 4:56's, I also have the 3.92's in it. What I have read from people who have 35's & 37's is that the 3.92's are OK, but they wont push the 35's or 37's as well as I assume you will want it too. Im regearing because I am going with the Skyjacker 6" with 37's. The 4:56's will push them like you want them too rather than lugging along. Just my opinion from what I have ridden in and heard

I have a 11 sport crew cab with the 5.7.. I still don't know if I'm going to with the 6" super lift.. Zone 4/2 or the zone 4/3 with bils at .7 in the front.. So tire size depends on the ride height

My 3.92s will still light my 35's up and leave 2 black strips on pavement from a stand still. I have the 8 speed and a hemifever tune so that helps. I think my truck runs now with the 35's and my mods the same that it did stock. The 3.92's without the tuner had absolutly no issue, they work fantastic, and I can get good mileage (for a lifted truck)

I already have a Vararam CAI, Superchip, and custom exhaust. After regearing, headers, cam, 6.1 heads, new tune, dual E Fan, and a few more mods then il be set for a little while. Im also going to get a road armor front and rear bumper and put a LED light bar on the front bumper just dont know which one yet. I wish that Bilstein made 5100's for my truck cause I wanted them but apparently they dont make them for an 04 1500 w/ a 6" lift

Lol that's those mods are the most fun! :D

especially when ya get a ricer next to ya and you beat him in a lifted truck lol

About gears, does it really matter what brand you get? I know G2 and Yukon are good but I can get some other for about $80 cheaper or should I just go with the G2 or Yukon?

Ya, I would have gone 4:88 if my front could support it but can't like my rear. So 4:56 will have to do haha, but it will save gas and help with some power. I cant wait to get it all.

I have 1 other question. Im getting some XD778's matte black 18x9 but I dont know which backspacing to go with. I have 5.5" backspacing right now on my truck but I think I would need 4.5" with the extra 1" wide tires plus I want them to stick out a tad bit more than what they are now. Is 4.5" backspacing good? Does anyone have any pics with 4.5" backspacing so I can get a visual? Thanks

For $80.00 would you really want to take I risk? If you know for a fact that the G2's and the Yukons are proven, why chance it and have to go through all that labor cost and anguish.

That is true but I have heard from numerous people its not so much what brand gears, its who installs them (doing it correctly) Im just curious what others have to say about it on here

I have a 2012 with the 5.7 and the 3.92 gears with a 6 inch lift and a 3 inch body on 37s and just a CAI and I can still roast them easily and push through mud easy and tow just fine. The only somewhat downside I have noticed is on the highway doing about 85 the rpms get up a little sometimes but that's it. Hope that helps a little!

My 4:56's are already on the way, I apprecaite the advice. Did you need the body lift to fit the 37's? I have seen quite a few dodges with just a 6: susp lift on 37's
