I'm reaching out before buying new polish & carnauba wax.
What have any of you done to make deep cherry red paint to really *POP* with deep, lustrous shine?
I have no swirls, marring or defects but just want more depth and shine.
I'm almost tempted to go back to Zaino because it gives a plastic-like sealant shine I didn't care for on my car but this paint may suit it better.

I'm currently using Meguiars Pro polishes, Lake Country pads on my PC 7424 and Meg's ultimate paste wax.

Wouldn't the "wet look" products work well on it?

Otherwise, I would do multi coats of polish followed by multi coats of wax. That should give it some depth IMHO.

I just started using the Megs Ultimate too, and I really like it. So far it is performing as well as stuff double the price... :)

I use meguires 2.0 wax (spell check) with a mid range rotating buffer, not an orbiting buffer. Then I wipe it down with a mf cloth.

I use Menzerna Power Lock Polymer (2 coats), then if I am bored I follow it with 2 coats of Menzerna Color Lock Carnauba Wax (I agree with DavidRam on this). You can do it by hand or use a foam finishing pad. I'd say the polymer last well over 6 months. I love the stuff. I know you can't really tell much from photos unless you had some talent which I don't.

Souveran Paste Wax is what I use on reds for the deep wet look. I use Adams on all other colors.

Hmm- Souveran.
Also like the carnauba over sealant idea. I've only tried it with the sealant I have on hand, Nu-Finish which is really only good for durability not looks.
I'm looking for "next level" depth here; it's no slouch.
Grabbed this pic coming out if grocery store tonight.

Sacrilege. If I want Armour-All quality I'll just go to Wal-Mart and buy Armour-All.

Lmao!
Finally somebody who doesn't think it's gods gift to detailing.
I would like to try some Menzerna stuff just haven't brought myself to pay the price for it when I use it strictly on my vehicles.
Maybe when the wife gets her new Grand Cherokee.

I have been really satisfied using Wolfgang 3.0 sealant and then topping it with Collinite 845. The Wolfgang Sealant last about 6-7 months and I use the Collinite to give added protection and give the paint more depth and a "warmer" look. I use Opti Spray Wax every wash by adding about 1/4 cup of wax to the wash bucket.

Fukken spray was is phenomenal.... when I spray it in my wheel wells and on the rear rockers at the strip, molten rubber just wipes off; as a protectant it's garbage though.

If it doesn't really have any swirls, I would suggest the new SCG PRofessional MACHINE CUT™ POLISH. I have been really impressed with the gloss factor from this polish since I began testing it back in the beginning of the year. To protect it, SCG Professional Acrylic-Shield Paint Sealant is something you may also want to look into. For a Sealant, it provides excellent gloss and shine, while being durable enough to stand up to the harsh elements. In testing, it took a LOT of acidic washes and other means to get this stuff to break!

Thx, but I'm in Canada and doubt very much it includes us. No one ever does.
