I'm gonna lift my 04 quad cab soon and I was hoping I could get some pros and cons from you guys on a 6" suspension vs a 3" body and 3" suspension. Thanks

I'm not a fan of body lifts my self, but if done right they look good and you can't tell its a body lift.

I like my BDS suspension Lift a lot and it keeps the torsion bars tucked up high. In most cases people say their trucks ride better then stock after the suspension lift.

Yeah I know the end product is better with just suspension lift but the cost is higher and I think a lot of stuff needs to be rewired and adjusted? I could be wrong though I havnt done too too much research on it.

I think I'm just trying to figure out if the extra money is worth it. And approximately how much extra I'm looking at for all suspension.

You can buy a Zone off road lift for around $1100 they make good stuff and have a great warranty. Its pretty much cut and dry for the install, but If you have the entire front suspension apart I would also consider changing your wheel bearings, upper and lower ball joints. You can do most of the work with basic hand tools and a breaker bar. The only thing that mite slow it down is the torsion bar tool you may be able to rent one or you can buy one for around $100. You should be able to do the install in a weekend. I will also recommend reading the directions and go over each bolt that you need to get to and start spraying them down with lube to lossen up the rust on the nuts and bolts. My weapon of choice is Kano Aerokroil penetrating.

Thanks for the info. Is it common to install yourself. I don't have any experience with installing lifts myself, I've only heard of having it done by a shop.

Yes It is common to install the lift yourself and of course with a buddy. If you are a hands on person and mechanically inclined you will have no problems.
