So my 2014 ram 1500 is white and has chrome badges, bumpers, and grill. I was thinking of using black plastidip for the badges and grill, but would it look stupid to use the black on the bumper also? Should i use white? I thought about wrapping the bumpers but that is way to expensive. What do you think would be the best option/color to get rid of the chrome. I just think it looks a little “dated” and not really my style lol.

Everything on mine is dipped, bumpers, grille, badges, step bars, etc.. if you do it right, it will look fine and holds up well until you can fork out the cash for something else. However, my truck is black, so it blends in well and I have all kinds of other stuff going on that distracts the eye from it. Not sure if it would give it a cheap look on a white truck. You might need to put it to the test.

Yeah. I love the way it looks. Would it be to much if i plastidip my bumpers also?? Lol

You did a great job on your eblems
As long as you can spray well, preferrably with a gun. Rattle cans for that big of a job are notorious for streaks. It wouldnt look bad, it would just be a big area, so streaks plus having the ability to properly repair it when it scratches vs having to peel it all off and start over, would make you in the green if you can get those under control.

Thanks. If you do light even coats I think plasti dipping the bumpers would look good. And if you botch it or end up not liking it as much you can just peel it off.

It's a 6" lift. I think you will be fine with the black dip. I did my bumpers with cans. A gun would be better. I do have enough experience spraying that I was able to avoid streaks. If you don't nor have ever used dip, I would recommend watching a few vids on the tube and maybe playing with it on the badges first. You'll find it's not too difficult.

Thanks, yeah ive watched a few videos of people dipping badges to bumpers. Ill start on the badges and see how they turn out.

You can also try trading someone or getting them professionally painted. Everyone has there own tastes but I’ve tried plastidip and I personally did not like it. Plus it will eventually start to peel off the chrome bumper so if it’s just a temporary solution in order to try it out I would go for it.
