I hope this is the right place to post this, Anyways here's my question im curious about a vs match with a buddy from work. Think were gonna hit the track this summer together. Here's what I know he has a 2011 F150 4x4 supercrew short bed 5.0 with a K&N drop in filter, SCT Programmer, 3.73 limited slip axle, 17 or 18'' rims with a set of some type of goodyear wrangler tires that have a pretty darn aggressive tread. Believe stock rating is 360hp and 380tq.

VS.

My 2013 Express RC Short bed 5.7 4x4 tow package, 3.55, Varram intake, dodm80, and about to have a hemi fever tune soon.

What are my chances?

Dude you should take him fairly easy. The weight advantage alone will help a ton

With the Hemifever tune, you will beat him. The 5.0 in that truck runs well, but you have a big weight advantage.

Extra weight is a big disadvantage, but the ford has 3.73's in the rear and a 4.17 first.
If you have the 6-speed you only have a 3.00 first, which should make it pretty close.
If you have the 8-speed, it has a 4.71 first....bye bye ford.

I think you'll pull him pretty easily as long as you don't have trouble hooking up after the tune.

If its like my truck at all (RCSB, which it is seemingly) then you wont chirp the tires at all. Mash it and go.

The 5.0 fords run strong, our work truck has one and it seems good. I bet even better in a little rcsb shortbox with a 3.73. That would be a better race.

Keep in mind he has 3.55 gears and probably not LSD (He didn't mention it). Also likely hemifever will disable his ESC. No sense in having brakes kick on when you're trying to go.

My stock truck with TC disabled can smoke tires if I pounce on it.

Yes it has the LSD on my truck. An If I mat the throttle she'll take off and roast till 50-60 mph till I let off. haha I haven't gotten on my truck much as other vehicles I have owned. Mainly because it just rapes the road even with 3.55 gears :signs6:
