im sure alot of people have done this..
looking to go to a 35x12.50x18 and aftermarket wheels instead of the 20s and keep the factory wheels..

tires are cheaper..plus the aftermarket wheels may look better..

anyone have any cons to doing this..

and just curious how much a set of the chrome clad wheels are worth if i went to sell them?

One huge pro with going aftermarket besides looks is you can get the correct offset so you don't rub because most factory wheels the guys are running like 1/4" spacers.

Price really depends on the style and what everyone else is selling them for.

The biggest downside to aftermarket wheels is weight.
The 2nd issue is them being hubcentric.

I sold my clads w/ tires with 5k miles on them on Craigslist for 1300. I pretty sure I could have got more for them, I got tons of calls and they sold pretty quick.

Yeah $1300 is insane. I've had mine on CL (Chicago area) for $1000 and only had one inquiry, he lowballed me at $600 of course lol. He keeps calling and offering it, it's pretty funny. They've been on there for over a month. '12 chrome clads, stock good years, 12k miles..

I have ran 5 sets of wheels on my truck and this 5th one is 18's on 37's
Went for the different look. Cost was not a factor (although I did save over 20s')
I sold my stockers with out issue and Im sure you can do the same.

I would do the aftermarket wheels as you can get the offset you want for a lift as I believe you were looking at 3" PA body lift

If you need any assistance or pricing on body lift, gap guards and wheels (tires and rims) we do it all ;)
