Hi all,

Im originally from the UK and have moved out to the US for work. Being a big guy I've always felt a pickup truck is the perfect kind of vehicle for me and you know i always loved the look of them. After 8 months driving a beat up, no power POS Chevy Cruze I've finally gone and bought me a Ram 1500 Big Horn and i freaking love it. I won't be towing anything and it will mostly be used on the road but i got the 4x4 option for the snow in MD and the resale value - as ill be leaving the US in 4 years :-(

Ive spent a few weeks lurking in the background and reading various thread but thought it was about time i posted something.

Ive already got various mods / improvements ordered..

- Cabin air filter
- tailgate assit
- BedRug liner (getting rid of the drop in crap)
- BAKFlip MX4 Folding Tonneau Cover

Looking forward to learning more about Rams from you guys.

Here she is... (just about squeezes into my apartments parking garage)IMG-0251.JPGIMG-0253.JPGIMG-0255.JPG

Sweet! I have a cousin in the UK who loves his early gen Ford Explorer even on those somewhat narrow roadways where you drive on the WRONG side of the road! :D

Welcome to the Colonies and enjoy your stay!

Nice truck and good choice. Certainly a much better choice than a 1.0L 3-cylinder sub-compact lol.

When you move back to the UK ship the RAM back with you. The times I've been to the UK never saw a RAM on the many narrow roads so you can continue to send the forum reports on your experiences driving it over there.

Congratulations on the new truck! The utility a pickup truck offers, especially one with a full size backseat, is tough to beat. You could start a blog about car ownership in the US vs the UK, they don't have many pickup trucks that I recall. God save the Queen!!!

 Welcome!
Congratulations on owning a proper bespoke pick-up truck instead of some rubbish Chubby, Furd or rice burning Ute.
