That's interesting.

So much for a standard configuration. I see a resistor pack in the 2013 service manual.
It does look as though it's installed in the same location as the video, but unclear if it applies to the manual temperature control (MTC) HVAC.

I did find a parts store listing that indicated a resistor pack for both the ATC and MTC.
The packs looked very different: the MTC resistor pack likely resides elsewhere.

I will search for more answers as time permits.
Thanks for the update.

I really think it's a module that's on the motor itself. It can be on models with ATC, or without ATC after 2018. I think it does the same thing as a resistor pack, but in a more civilized manner. I think there's also a blower relay in the engine compartment you might want to check.

Do you think the standard ATC resistor pack is uncivilized?

I am having no HVAC/blower-type problems with my truck.
I'm only attempting to become more educated, to assist others.

Yep. Using more advanced electronics, instead of just sticking a resistor pack into the air flow, where it's going to corrode quickly, is much more civilized

Kind of like ditching the rear drum brakes and using 4-wheel disk brakes?
I remember regularly cursing drum brakes, every time I touched them.

BTW, the resistor pack for the MTC version looked different, but not too much.
I suspect it's the same crude design, and they just stuck it somewhere else to make the DIY job more difficult.

I found this great video that covers troubleshooting and repairs of a TIPM connector to restore a blower fan. It also shows the blower relay and fuse location for a 2013 Ram 1500.
