Good afternoon everyone. I just wanted to introduce myself. I just landed in a 2020 1500 4WD 5.7 Lone Star. Traded a 2016 Tacoma TRD Off-road and got a fair deal for the upgrade. I'm typically a Yota fanboy, but Toyota kinda burned a bridge with me on the 3rd gen Taco after numerous mechanical problems, issues with the fit and finish, and customer service. I can truly say that my 3rd Gen Taco was the worst experience I've ever had with a vehicle from every aspect of ownership. Culture of Tacoma-Bros didn't help either.
I'd been shopping for a full size/more comfortable vehicle after a road trip left me with back spasms for days. I test drove every full size truck and knew my heart was with Ram as early as a year ago, but kept procrastinating.
Fiancee jumped ship from Toyota first, trading her RAV4 for a Renegade Trailhawk. I thought the idea was laughable initially, but quickly found myself building solid relationships with local Mopar dealerships very easily. Totally different culture.
Picked up my Ram last week. She's not the fanciest, but everything I wanted in a truck at a good deal to boot. Locking diff, 3.21 for the highways, 5.7 without e-Torque. Fewer bells and whistles to break on me. I retire in 6 years and I hope this truck carries me into retirement.
I am looking forward to being a member of this forum, and learning more about my truck and the mods I'll need to build it to my adventure-intensive lifestyle!
