This is actually my 2nd new shell in the few months I've had my new RAM. Long story short, first one was not 100% what I ordered so it got returned. This round I went with a whole new shell shop. These folks took real good care of me and did a little custom install of interior cargo lights (Hooked to my cargo light switch). It looks great, they did a way better job installing the shell than the last shop. Although pics taken during day (hasn't got dark here yet) the interior cargo light are better than I had hoped for. Heres some shots:

Looks good. What brand? How's it look on the tailgate being so thick?

Nice! those cargo lights are cool.
Thanks friend! YES, I agree!! Get'n dark now so I went out to check 'em and they are BRIGHT!!! I am very impressed at the amount of light they give. Brighter than what I thought they would be. I'm really happy they are controlled by my cargo light button on the dash. I did not want a useless button so this worked real well. The shop had never done a light kit like this before. They were so impressed they were taking pics of the installed cargo light kit. One step closer to finished. Next is the Mopar interior light kit. I hate those dark areas under the dash and front seats (feet area), this is the answer: Interior Lighting - 82212347 | Mopar

Lights are ordered and will have dealer install them next week.

Truxedo brand lights. Pretty affordable on Amazon ($65US shipped). Do you mean the extra tailgate cap need to install the Leer XQ? If so, I will admit I was not happy about it. But honestly, you really don't even notice it. The XQ is the nicest Cap on the market for the RAM (IMO). So it was the one thing I didn't like but had to compromise if I wanted this Cap, and I really wanted it. Hope I understood you right.

Sorry should've been more clear. Ow the lift gate on the topper matches up to the top of the tailgate. Because it sticks out past the tail lights.

Very nice. Id like to get capped :boxed:, not sure How much it would cost to match the paint (Max Steel).

Well bro, it is what it is. Kinda like a tongue stick'n out at 'ya. LOL! Not a big deal, again, this is the nicest shell for the RAM and you have to take what you get so to speak. It really looks good and if you're in the market I would not let the tailgate issues stop from get'n this shell. Not major issues at all.

That does look nice. I had one on my '99.
I especially like it for my Dogs! They have their space and I have mine. Can't handle my truck (Cab) smelling like dirty dogs, the bed, not an issue.
