grease lower ball joint problem

My 01 1500 4x4 lower ball joint zerks come straight up with no clearance do to the u-joint. I have the end with a slot that slides on the zerk from the side, but still not enough clearance. I just had this special end for a previous car. Is there one for this zerk? ****

To get the front aligned I had it rebuilt, ball joints, tie rods, right axle shaft U-joint ect. Is there a reason the ball joint has a straight up zerk instead of a 90 degree so it would be accessible?
