Hi everibody,
my name is Luca, writing from Rome, Italy.
First of all, sorry for my poor english, I'll try to do my best...
My cousin (with great problems with your language
) has just bought a 2004 Ram 1500 with the Hemi 5.7 and 240k kms on it.
Guess what? I'll have to take care of is truck, 'cause he only knows how to turn the engine on and how to fill the tank!
Said that, I already have many questions: first of all, the truck is 4x4 full time and inside the cabin has a knob labeled "4 hi", "4 hi lock" and "4 low". No "2 hi", so I'm wondering wich kind of TC has and what tranny is coupled with... maybe 545rfe? Where do I have to look to solve the question??
And: the label "4 hi lock" means that in this position the front and rear axle are locked togheter by the TC and turns at the same speed? Or that ALL the differentials (front, rear and TC) are locked??
Where do I have to search for the tech specs of this truck? Any good link??
Last but not least: I own a 4.7 Grand Cherokee 2000, and I know all the weak points of my Jeep... In the same way, I would like to know if there is something to pay special care for the RAM.
