GTR HID Problems

This lifetime warranty kit has already caused me some grief after less than a month.
I did the headlight swap and the same side worked both times so the bulbs are good.
Can Anybody relate to this?

I had a problem with mine. The pins on the ballast to vehicle were bent slightly and not making connections

I’ll try that and check the fuse. Did you de-pin yours? I cut a slightly larger hole so I didn’t have to

Don’t see fuses for low beams... the pins are all good. When I plug the ballast in when the power is on they hiss for a second. I’m guessing bad ballast.
I hope HR takes care of me here. It’s frustrating to spend $300 on HIDs for them to fail in the first month.

Hang tight for now.. it could be user error, although not likely, but depending on how well and quickly it gets resolved could be cause to snag a set right away.
The reviews from what I saw are all terrific. I will definitely post updates on this situation as it unfolds. Get your popcorn ready!

There aren’t grounds on the plug and play kit

ahhh...OK. Every HID kit I've installed had grounds for either the ballast or caps.

Not to hijack the thread, but I'd like to recommend the DDM Tuning Plus Canbus Kit. Several members here, including me, run it and have had no problems. June 17 will make a year that I've had the 35w 5500k kit installed without issue. I can't speak to their customer support or lifetime warranty, as I haven't needed to use it.

They are good about sending replacements and tech support. First thing I would do is grab a test light and start checking everything. The noise from the ballast is normal actually means they are working. Check it all then give them a call the will ship you new stuff out. The only thing that is annoying is that you have to field destroy everything and send pix before they ship out your new stuff or they charge you then when you send pix they refund. And the first set I de pinned the second time I just made a slot

Can you PLEEEEEAASE see some pics of your headlight output and the colour of them out of the projectors?!

Starting to rain and not quite dark, but here’s some pics. DDM Tuning Plus Canbus 35w ballasts w/ 5500k HID bulbs. Morimoto XB LED Fog lights, also 5500k.

Phone made the lights look more yellow. The auto adjust made it difficult to get decent pics. Very clean white to my eyes in person:

Do you have the latest one with canbus and also a mounting plate with a ground wire on it. Maybe you might have to use the ground wire to ground the base plate. I have the set in my 2016 Laramie with projector headlights .They are in about 6 months and no problems with them. But in a video from the company they show that you dont need the ground wire but in your case maybe you do. Also when grounding the base plate it seems to help reduce interference on the radio. Also I brought mine from Headlight Revolution but the lights are from GTR same warranty
