Hey gang!

In first of all: sorry if you already have similar topic and my google-kung-fu was not great to find it here. If so please point me on right topic and i close this one.

So, my RAM has premium light package and i have LED everywhere... except upper third stop with bed lights. I was curious about that: why is that? And decided to replace them on cheap LED. I bet: you know what happens next)

I see that we have two possible solutions: buy mega-expensive bulbs (with no guarantee) or update the car by OBD (alfaobd, tazer etc) which also no any guarantees as well.

Giving that: what you’d recommend? Especially i’m interesting in your experience.

As for me: i like to work with any tech))) so i’m going to purchase OBD tool for my car anyway)

Hay tech, I just replaced my CHMBL to Led's from VLEDS, I bought (2) 5500k white high output 36 led 921 for my cargo lamps
(1) high visibility red high power 6 led 921 for my brake lamp didn't have to do anything with alfaobd or install any resistor, there customer service is great, also I replaced the gasket, bought that from Detroit Muscle Technologies, LLC be careful when you scrape it off it sits in a channel, I used a Xacto blade to scrape it off, some have used MEK solvent to break down the adhesive, it was a great upgrade.

I used the Lasfit Bulbs, which were a great swap out as they're extremely bright. Unlike other LED bulbs that I have heard caused an issue with Key Fobs and such, the Lasfit were no issues at all and they've been installed for over 2 months. Let me know if you're interested in ordering, I have a 10% off coupon code! Goodluck :)

Amazon has had Black Friday sales on Lasfit at a great price right now...most likely will have a pretty good saw on Cyber Monday too. Be sure to compare prices and you can’t go wrong with Lasfit. Fantastic illumination, dependable bulbs and great customer service from Lasfit no matter where you purchase them.

In fact, Lasfit recently had an issue with their third brake light bulb interfering with the remote signals on some key fobs. They are now selling the new version (instead of the old one) and giving those of us who have the old one a discount to send the new one...no need to return the old one. That is quality customer service.

Just be certain to stay away from Underground Lighting (https://www.ramforum.com/threads/new-to-the-page-need-help-with-something.170010/).

FYI, the replacement bulbs for the 3rd brake light are the following:
