Legit scanners I prefer the genesis system. The next would probably be Snap-on. After that I'm out because its been dealer specific after those. Oh and I use a cheap little MAC Tool hand held at home for reading codes and pulling small amounts of info.

Any opinions on Autels or Innovi's cheap handhelds.
I have access to a good Snap-on scanner at my buddies shop, but i'd like a cheap one for at home.
Thanks for the input guys.

They should be alright, if you are just clearing codes it will work great.

I bought an Ultra-Gauge. You can leave it plugged in and display digital gauges. It will also read and clear codes and CELs if needed. And does not lock to a vehicle like a tuner so you can use it in multiple vehicles without issue. Pretty neat little device for $60.

Innova makes a great handheld for the price, I've got a Bosch that spends most of its time sitting because my 350 innova can read just about anything I need it to including abs on some models

For a simple one my brother uses his smart phone. He has BMW's and Toyota's says it works for both.

Thanks guys.
For ***** and giggles i bought both,an Innova 3100(sale price $99.99),and an Autel Autolink (AL519,sale price $79.99).
Both found the code i was checking, but the Innova seems to be a little more user friendly then the Autel Autolink,in my opinion.
Either one is worth having for a cheap home handheld scanner, but i like the Innova slightly better.
