I know every state is different but wanted to ask for opinions. I bought a partialy assembled harbor freight trailer for a hundred bucks. The guy I bought it from said it was never titled or registered. He wrote me a bill of sale. I'm wondering if HF can/will help me out. Any thoughts?

It does depend on the state, in Texas I'm pretty sure every trailer has to be registered, the good thing is if its under 3500lb gvw you can register it as a home built trailer with no title, no weighing it, no pictures ect " just pay us, take your tags and move on" my dad has a little 8ft trailer for his golf cart and that's all he did, it didn't have a title.

No titles here in Ohio either but does have to be registered and I think(not really sure)it does have to be weighed before you can register it.

Contact your DMV and ask them. In Maryland a trailer under 2500 lbs (other than boat or recreational vehicle) does not have to be titled or registered.
