I have a 15 hemi 8sp with 58k miles and it's been shifting especially hard gears in the lower gears. Once I get into around 6th gear it shifts like butter. I bought it used so I have no idea how the other owner drove it. Some ideas I've had are to go to 1. Go to dealer and do TCM and PCM update but that will probably be super expensive 2. Somehow do a tranny quick learn on my own by pulling a fuse or something 3. Do a fluid change or flush for the transmission. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I’ll start by changing the fluid. You have no dipstick to check so who knows the condition of the fluid.
Tcm update should be a TSB so if there was one perhaps shouldn’t cost you anything Just like the recalls we have had in the past? I wish I knew more about the ZF trans in that regards.

That’s what i was thinking, maybe the fluid is running low or somehow leaked, but shouldn’t the ZF trans fluid be good for at least 60-70k miles
