Has anyone put mud flaps on a single cab 1500? Curious what it looks like...

So i'm kinda in a bind here. My aftermarket wheels are causing a lot of kicked up dirt, rain, etc. onto my truck, but im not sure how it would look if i put splash guards on it. I can just suck it up and wash it all the time, but i don't wanna take the coating i have on it off, so i wanna see if anyone has them on theirs to get an idea. Thanks!

Woud look awesome. Remember, until a few years ago, regular cabs were what everyone bought, club cabs and crew cabs were teh rare oddity.

Not to hijack the thread, but do the molded OEM and Weathertech do a good job protecting the sides of the truck? I was looking at the rubber OEM ones, because I had heard the molded ones don't protect the sides from dirt kick up as well. Also, I have 4 inch oval Westin steps on mine.

I have had Mopar molded mudflaps on my 2nd gen truck and now on the 4th gen. Also have had the Mopar molded mudflaps on two Jeep Wranglers I'm satisfied with what they keep off the sides. I don't think there is anything "perfect", but anything helps to keep the crap off.

I have the Mopar molded. I think they maybe a little larger than other brands or at least longer. My tires are 9 inch tread with and I don't have any splash/dirt problems.

I have the Huskyliners not yet installed but they are supposed to be a little wider than most and they send 3M clear film to apply where the flaps touch your paint to mount. Protects the paint from rubbing and such from flaps. Drilling is optional as they fit the OEM holes, but they send extra screws to help attach the flaps. You have to drill holes for the extra screws though. Reviews on the Huskyliners site say that most people don’t use the extra screws. I’ll post once mine are installed to say whether or not I used them.

My weathertech's are pretty solid with not a lot of give.... basically the same as the OEM one's.

Your running boards do look very clean on your truck. I never had them on any of my trucks, but there are times I wish I had them. Does your mount to the frame, and are they solid feeling ?

Thanks.
