I'm about to purchase a 2012 Ram 3500 turbo diesel with 6.7l for car hauling. I want to be sure if this truck has the capacity to haul 24,000lbs. Suggestion plsss

Max trailer of a DRW 3500 regular cab 4x2 with 4.10 gears was 22,750. Goes down from there.

Put the vin into the ram builder website and see what the tow rating is. 24k sure seems to be asking a lot of a 3500 though. I think your in MDT territory with that load.

What would the approximate pin weight be? We'd need to know that and your payload rating from your yellow door jamb sticker, then we can go from there. Good luck

The issue with the 2012 vs 2013 is a weaker frame and the 2013 3500 HO DRW received Aisin which is why max towing went from under 23k in 2012 to 30k in 2013

24,000 would be the total gross combined vehicle weight? (truck + trailer and load?)
