How's the output with hids? Without hids?

And can you get them custom colors, like oem?

And do you have some on your truck?
Can I see how they look?

8K HID = Worse than halogens. very poor. Also i felt there was some strong color conflict on the front end with the blue truck and black head light covers. Just me though.

Carlwalski's ride is on another level.

5k is gonna be the brightest I would believe. And what I posted is what is on that truck. It's basically a tint that goes over the headlight.

I dont think the truck you posted has covers on it, anytime i have seen the covers they are only black not smoked. Light output is awful with them

You remember when you painted your headlights? Imagine that, but worse.

I just don't want to take it off for inspection, or some other reason.

And Brendan did it, looked pretty bad. there is a blacked out ford, it has headlight covers. Looks good

Those are GTS headlight covers on the batram apparently, if thats what you like then why not go with them?
If you use the right tint it shouldnt look anydifferent then a smoked lens.
Anything you do is going to hurt light output
With HID in chrome housing your going to have a harsh glare especially in poor weather conditions.
Remember that when you blind people they dont enjoy it as much as you do, you never know who your going to blind (and with the glare you will) or how they are going to take it

Mustve been the angle and lighting of the picture you posted that made them look smoked
SRT10Mods3.jpg

He has nightrunner headlights as well
Lights.jpg

"Testing the lights at the shop. Checking to see how bright the lights look with the covers on. Not too bad, however, they will definitely be removed for night time driving. More so for other drivers protection. Got to love that front end......."

Yeah sorry about the angle.

Such a bad ass srt10.

It's only for daytime driving, I don't do much nighttime driving, hids are just for reassurance.

He ended up tinting his fog lights with 20% window tint
You have to do it in small strips because of the curvature
