Going to be calling my mechanic to see what he will charge me to replace it again because when I went to use the heat today I got a nice syrup scent when it came on, lovely..

Sorry to hear that... I know what it's like getting that smell and the stress it brings. Since you didn't supply the lines last time I would go ahead and get new ones, they're $40 for both from O'reilly that way you don't have to worry about trashed up lines.

Same thing happened to me, first one went, got another and that one seems to be fine so far.

Has anyone done it instead of a mechanic? I was wondering how hard of a job it is, because I can end up borrowing a car from my family while I have the truck apart. But if it isn't worth it then I'll have my mechanic do it.
