I'm not sure if this topic belongs in this section...but anyways my heat will not switch over to cold when I turn the dial and even wait. My truck still blows hot air. I don't know when this started but it's been getting warm around here and I wanted to have some cooler air blowing but then I found out my temperature doesn't change.

You temp door isn't moving. Does the knob have normal resistance?

I've been having similar problems but mine switches from cold to hot fine but changing from defroster to dash etc doesnt work it always blows out the defrost and floor which i believe is a vacuum issue?

Rowdy, you mean resistance as in ohms correct? If so I haven't pulled my dash apart to check any electricals. Otherwise my temp knob turns just fine.

I'm pretty sure he means physical resistance turning the knob, otherwise i think he would've given an acceptable ohm range. Check your vac lines i found a couple of mine ****** up i haven't been able to fix them yet but im willling to bet thats it.

Alright I'll have to check those after my truck returns from the shop. Would an air pocket in the cooling system have anything to do with it?

Yes I meant physical. Your temp switch is either vac or cable. Pull your dash and check to see which it is

It wouldn't be an air pocket if its blowing sufficient hot air
