Hello, I am new to the forum. I purchased a new 2022 Ram Rebel Night edition with the 5.7 Hemi and the 12 in centre display.
I had the truck for one day, started it and pulled out onto the street and noticed that the centre digital portion of the instrument cluster was no longer working. The vehicle had 78 kms on it. It only would display coloured vertical lines where the digital speed and such would be. It remained like that for the rest of the day. I brought the truck directly to the dealer. I was told that it may be software and was given an appointment for this coming Wednesday to bring it in to have it diagnosed.
The following morning, I started the truck and the display was working again as normal. After driving for about an hour, the digital portion flickered and went back to the coloured lines.
The next day, same thing, worked then seemed to short out.

It goes without saying that this issue should not happen, with a vehicle that was less than one day old. I traded in a 2019 F150 for this and was extremely happy with my new purchase up until the gauge cluster stopped working, the day after bringing it home.

Anybody have a similar issue, and/or, any thoughts on what it could be would be much appreciated.

Keep us posted on the progress....I'm seriously considering a 2022 Rebel as my first Full Size truck and joined up here to find out the good and the bad...i've heard about a similar issue on youtube, but fortunately for him, it only did it once so far, I think he said his just went black but after shutting it off for an hour or so and then restarting, it went back to normal. Hope they get it figured it.

Did they find the problem? Mine has the same issue. I’m taking it back tomorrow.

I have had the same issue in my 2020 RAM. It started with roughly 27K miles. I have taken it to my dealership multiple times and they were "sending the issue to their RAM rep". They have been feeding me this line for a few months. I decided to call the RAM customer service line and boy was that a waste of my time. Now that I'm out of warranty, there is nothing they can do despite me having all of the service records and email traffic since the issue started. The RAM customer service rep told me today that I "should've called them first as the dealers are privately owned and will delay the service till it's out of warranty so they can make as much money as possible". And yes, I have this recorded for anyone's listening pleasure.

Well I called customer service and they basically told me there wasn’t anything they could do and that I needed to take it in to the dealer. This is the second time it’s been to the dealer and it just hit 400 miles. The dealer thought they found and fixed the issue last time but now it is doing it again. I wish the OP would let us know what he found out with his Rebel.

I picked my truck up today. I was contacted by RAM customer service and they followed up with me several times. The dealer, Bleeker of Dunn, ended up changing the gauge cluster in the truck. Hopefully that solves the problem. The dealer returned my truck with a full take of fuel and washed it. Ram customer service said they were adding a 2 year service contract on my truck for free which will cover the oil changes and tire rotations for that time. I’m happy with the service I received and hopefully the problem is solved for good!

I got a 2022 Rebel in January 2022. So far so good. No issues at all so far in 8500 miles. Planning a 2000 mile trip in October. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I have a 22 Rebel as well with 16K miles I took delivery in January, I just got back from a 4k mile trip and honestly have no complaints with the dash, I do have problems with the uconnect5 system they have been patching once a month-ish.... maybe its a bad connection to the guage unit for the op?

I also have a 22 Rebel I got in January. I have 9500 miles on the clock with zero issues so far. I do like the Uconnect 5 system over the U4 system in my 19 that I traded for the Rebel. As I said, not a hitch YET!

I have had a few anomalies pop up that happen once then never see them again. The only one that has repeated is a low tire PSI warning that even came across on the Ram app but the tire pressure looks good in the instrument cluster. I made an appointment to have it looked at, but it cleared itself before they could look at it. There weren't any codes stored either.
