Hello, I am new to the forum. I purchased a new 2022 Ram Rebel Night edition with the 5.7 Hemi and the 12 in centre display.
I had the truck for one day, started it and pulled out onto the street and noticed that the centre digital portion of the instrument cluster was no longer working. The vehicle had 78 kms on it. It only would display coloured vertical lines where the digital speed and such would be. It remained like that for the rest of the day. I brought the truck directly to the dealer. I was told that it may be software and was given an appointment for this coming Wednesday to bring it in to have it diagnosed.
The following morning, I started the truck and the display was working again as normal. After driving for about an hour, the digital portion flickered and went back to the coloured lines.
The next day, same thing, worked then seemed to short out.
It goes without saying that this issue should not happen, with a vehicle that was less than one day old. I traded in a 2019 F150 for this and was extremely happy with my new purchase up until the gauge cluster stopped working, the day after bringing it home.
Anybody have a similar issue, and/or, any thoughts on what it could be would be much appreciated.
