Hello everyone!
Well, if you've ever been on the other Ram forums around the internet, you've likely seen my postings, I figured I'd come make my mark here.
A little about myself...
I live in Fort McMurray Alberta, home of the oilsands. (Don't get all enviro on me... I don't react well..
).. I'm an Information systems Analyst for a large oil company up here, and enjoy the lifestyle it provides. We are surrounded by 1000's of KM of wilderness, and I haven't even scratched the surface of the terrain up here.
I am the proud owner of a 2006 MegaCab 3500 Cummins Ram. I bought it last summer and it renewed my faith in the Ram line. I previously owned a 2007 1500 Hemi which I had nothing but trouble with.
My father operated a Dodge/Chrysler/etc dealership in Southern Alberta when I was a child, when the 2nd Generation trucks were released. I've been a life long Ram fan since then. I've always liked the styling of them, although the only engine, to this day I've ever really liked was the 5.9 cummins.
Anyhow, I look forward to exchanging ideas/information/experience with everyone here at RamForum. I'm working on a few mods...
1) HID or PREFERABLY LED headlights
2) Paint - Had 1/2 the truck painted due to hail, mother nature 'missed' the otherside though.. :/
3) Tires/Rims - Running BFG ATKOs, but I want something better than stock rims.
4) Lighting - I have the stock enclosures installed, and PIAA Bulbs in use (they are very short on lifespan), my lightforce lights are wired in, but I want something more.
A few mods I've done..
1) ReTrax Bed Cover - Had it on my 1500, moved it to my 3500 - Awesome cover!
2) Nasta Step Bars - My westins rusted on my 1500.. went with something that won't rust.
3) Compustar Remote Starter - Gotta have it in Northern Alberta.. -40C is the norm in the winter!
4) Bullydog TD - Uncertain if I want to reinstall it.. may be selling it
