Been looking to raise my `03 2WD Ram 1500.
I first wanted to level it, then maybe put a 1" body lift kit.
I measured, and it is exactly 2" difference between front and back.
Now here are my questions:
Why are there other level kits than 2" (2.5" ...) ? If its not 2", then it won`t be leveled, no ?
Also, some of them required buying new shocks. Then why not going for a suspension lift kit then ?

I`m now looking at:
Dodge Suspension Lift

But how come a suspension lift kit is that cheap ?
They are usually more than $500.

HELP would be much appreciated.
Thanks

different levelin kits due 1) each truck varies with the rear bein higher than the front(take for instance before my levelin keys on my 04 4x4 my tail was 3 inches higher than the front. now it is only 1/2") and 2) each person likes a different stance on their truck(front higher than the rear or the rear higher than the front). if your gonna do it i would suggest the lift kit. the lift kit along with the body lift will give you about 4-4 1/2 inches of lift.

should be leveled. most lift kits put you close to bein level. the kit states it has 1.5 inch lift block. the coil springs should give about 3 inches of lift in the front leavin you a half inch higher in the rear. you will probably never even notice that half inch. im still a half inch lower in the front and lookin at my truck on a level surface it looks like my front is higher

I don`t mind less than an inch difference.
But how can a suspension lift kit be that cheap ? ($299)
Also, would I be able to put 33s with this lift ?
Also thinking about 1" wheel spacers. Any recommendations for these ?

only reason i can think its so cheap is because its just coil springs, a 1.5 inch rear lift block and shocks. its a very basic system. according to the site you will have no issues fittin 33x12.5 's on. it says you will need a wheel with 4.5 inches of back spacing though. if you have the proper back spacing i wouldnt see any need for spacers

Manutea-I have this kit on my truck. Yes, you will be able to fit 33s with no problems...should also be able to fit 35s if you wanted. Easy install. It will look more leveled than it does now. The reason it is so cheap is beacause (I am assuming) all it is, is springs, spacers for the leafs in the back and new shocks.

Do you have any pictures of yours on the forum ?
So that I can get an idea of what to expect.
Did you get the Nitro 9000 series ?
How do you like it when you drive it ?

So its leveled by lifting front by 3" and rear by 1" or so ?
Where exactly is it lifted 3" ?
Still hard for me to understand. Sorry about that.
Im looking for something like DodgeGirl has (even though her is a 4WD)

Yes. It will lift the front 3 inches with a 1 inch block in the back. I have the Nitro 9000s, and I think it rides better than stock. It is a very smooth ride, and cornering has improved at bit.
Here is a pic with the old 245/70s on it...

and with the 265/70s...Sorry for the wifey in the pic...

Thank you. Truck looks good.
Did you install the kit yourself ?

I think it would look awesome with some 35s on, just my personal opinion.
I have 20" rims now, do you think I would be able to keep those and just get 35s tires to fit ?

Yes, the install took about 3-4 hours. 35s will fit regardless of the wheel size.

If you rocking the 03 1500 just jack your torsion bars man, quick easy and cheap, you got no cv axles like I do so it'll be fine but get an alignment afterwards lol

A modder is never truly done, he is merely delayed!

Got some research done again, and was wondering if any of you would be able to answer this:
If I find the car still too low, will I be able to put Bilstein 5100 on to raise it up a little bit ?
(If im not mistaking, Bilstein are adjustable)

I believe the adjustable shocks can only be used on 06+ Rams. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
