Hello all,

I have a 2012 Ram 1500 ST (2WD) that recently had a flat tire, which unfortunately shredded and caused significant damage to the driver’s side wheel well. Along with the physical damage, the wiring harness that runs through the wheel well — from the TIPM/fuse box toward the rear of the truck (fuel tank, rear lights, etc.) — was also affected.

Thankfully, the connector going toward the rear is still intact. The problem is the connector (with the pins) on the front end — it was completely destroyed.

I’ve sourced a replacement connector from a salvage yard, but the wire colors don’t match what I have on my truck. My plan is to solder and splice the wires, but without knowing which wire goes to which pin, I’m stuck.

I’ve attached a picture for reference.
Any help with a wiring diagram, pinout, or wire color matching for this connector would be greatlyappreciated.

Thanks in advance for your support!

are all those wires from the TIPM ?
or are some of those wires from the BCM,
( Body Control Module )
controls the TPMS, ( Tire Pressure Monitoring System )

This site will get you where you need to be - if i remember correctly, the connector pinout you're looking for should be C322

Could the connector not be re-pinned instead of splicing wires?

The pins can be released from almost all connectors.
The first video provides a clear demonstration of the basic principle of pin extraction and replacement.

I included the video below because it shows the pin fastening clip on the interior of the connector housing, and it's very short.

The videos below appear to be Ram-specific connector styles.

You will learn that different tools function better to release the pins depending on the specific connector pin release tab size and location.

I've successfully used straight pins, paper clips and my preferred, jeweller's slot-drive screwdrivers before.

If you buy an inexpensive set of different-sized miniature slot-drive screwdrivers, you will usually find the optimum size for the connector you're working on.

Thank you!!!
There are a few wires with the same color. How do i know which one goes to which pin?

I see they are on different circuits. Any tips on how to verify? Thanks alot!!

Unfortunately some pins on the original wiring broke when the connector got destroyed. I will repin the ones that are still intact and then splice the one's that broke.

I understand.

Unfortunately, splices typically have a limited lifetime and are a frequent point of failure.
At minimum, they should be soldered and covered with heatshrink tubing that has flooding compound.

For the damaged pins, you would be much further ahead if they could be replaced.
Often, a cost-effective generic crimper will suffice, and replacement pins are typically dirt cheap.

If you PM Benny @AllMoparParts.com, he may be able to provide a price for replacement pins for C322 and a cost for the required crimper. Be sure to indicate which side of the connector requires pins when ordering, as they're often different between the male/female sides of the connector.

Again, often a generic crimper will be sufficient. I own many crimpers and often use them on different pins because they're close enough.

I'd look up both sides of the connectors for your truck and the one you got the harness out of. Compare the two. It gives you the wire colors, note the differences. Maybe make a cheat sheet to what goes where.

Yes, I will heat solder them using soldersticks. They seem to be a 2-in 1 deal...both soldering and waterproofing. Thank you!
