Help! Lifting a ram?

I recently purchased a 2x4 2012 dodge ram sport package. I was originally looking for a 4x4 because I wanted to give it a lift. I couldn't pass on such a good deal though. Everyone says lifting a 2wd truck is dumb. Should I just level it out? Or would that also be a bad idea?

Mine is leveled. I like it.

End of the day is that is YOUR truck. If you wanna put a lift kit on, do it. You make the payments or own the title. That's what matters.

2wd are easier to lift because no worries about cv shafts. You wanna lift it- do it!!!!

Just lift it. People who say you don't lift 4x2 trucks just obviously haven't lived where a 4x2 isn't necessary. If the winters in PA weren't terrible, I'd probably have bought a 2WD truck.

I might just end up lifting it. I like the way your truck lucks Shawn. I've read that lifting a 2x4 causes many problems is this true?

I say if you want to lift your truck lift it, its yours do what you want to it. No it shouldnt cause any problems besides a small drop in fuel mileage if done correctly.

I live in California. About 99% of the lifted trucks here are 2x4. It's your truck. Do what you want.

You can't fix stupid. People say dumb crap all the time. Nothing wrong with lifting a 4x2 or lowering a 4x4. It's all about what YOU like and what YOU need.
